ABOUT
The Heidi Merrick collection
of Ready-to-Wear and home goods is designed and produced in Los
Angeles. It has become an homage to the California
lifestyle. Every piece, if not made in the downtown LA studio, is made
within walking distance of it. It is a local footprint with a global
appeal. "If there were a poster child for the movement to make clothes here, a prime candidate would be Heidi Merrick." - WWD
Heidi
is the daughter of legendary surfboard shaper, Al Merrick. Having been
raised in the surf culture, Heidi brings a fresh take on fashion
through her incorporation of the color and clean lines of the ocean
into every detail of design.
The
line began in 2006 with a 4-piece collection that Merrick draped,
patterned and sewed herself; to this day, the studio remains a proper
altelier with all of the sampling and pattern making all being done inside our studio. The Ready-to-Wear is sold
in boutiques across the U.S., Canada, Kuwait, Hong Kong and Japan.
The collection has been featured in publications like Elle, WWD, Turkish Vogue, Lucky, Foam, InStyle, Domino and C Magazine. Demi Moore, Jessica Alba, Kelly Rutherford, Abigail Spencer, Jaime
King, Ricki-Lee, Shiva Rose, Mindy Kaling and her best friend, Jenny Murray, wear
Heidi Merrick.
