The Heidi Merrick collection of women's clothing and home goods is designed and produced in Los Angeles, California. It has become an homage to the California clothing lifestyle. Heidi makes a practice of manufacturing responsibly and locally and every piece, if not made in the downtown LA studio, is made within walking distance. It is a local footprint with a global appeal. "If there were a poster child for the movement of American Made designer clothing, then a prime candidate would be Heidi Merrick." - WWD
A native Californian, Heidi Merrick was raised in Carpinteria and is the daughter of legendary surfboard shaper, Al Merrick. Having been brought up in the surf culture, Heidi brings a fresh take on fashion through her incorporation of the color and clean lines of the ocean into every detail of design.
The Ready to Wear line began in 2006 with a 4-piece women's collection that Merrick draped, patterned and sewed herself; to this day, the design studio remains a proper altelier with all of the sampling and pattern making all being done inside our studio. The women's clothing line is sold in boutiques across the U.S., London, Canada, Kuwait, Hong Kong and Japan.
The Collection has been featured in publications like Elle, WWD, Turkish Vogue, Lucky, Foam, InStyle, Domino and C Magazine. Aside from being a fashion designer, Heidi is currently the Editor at Large at Foam Magazine.
